LAS | Part 4 - Successfully Transitioning Leadership to Your Successor

Course Description: Part 4 - Successfully Transitioning Leadership to Your Successor

Discover how to document your work, mentor incoming advisors, and ensure continuity so licensure support remains strong beyond your term.

--

In Spring 2026, AIAS launched an interactive Licensing Advisors Training designed to equip students with the knowledge and tools to better support licensure readiness on their campuses. This session brought together current Student Licensing Advisors and those interested in stepping into the role for a dynamic panel conversation, peer breakout discussions, and hands-on action planning focused on licensure and the Architectural Experience Program (AXP).

Participants engaged in three focused breakout tracks:
1️⃣ Getting started as a new Licensing Advisor
2️⃣ Building stronger campus and professional networks
3️⃣ Successfully transitioning leadership to your successor

Attendees left with practical strategies, expanded peer connections, and at least one clear action they could immediately implement at their school. Whether you’re new to the role or looking to strengthen your impact, this recording provides actionable insights to help advance licensure conversations in your chapter and program.
